Depsite having it on my List, I really expected to end up disappointed by the place — I imagined it would be full of suited banker wankers and the prices would be too high. They have these happy hour 2-for-1 specials but they didn't sound appetizing so I wen for their namesake drink: the Golden Bee. You can definitely taste the alcohol!!!!! Golden Bee in Shoreditch, London is a great cocktail spot where you can dance the night away, find out more here. When you just want to unwind after work, come to Happy Hour at Golden Bee and kick back in style, enjoying delicious post-work drinks at great prices, starting at 5pm. I really recommend the apple crumble - it's like sipping on an alcoholic crumble.
With my Londoner cousin to guide us, we ended up here during the week to polish off a couple of drinks on a somewhat cold February night. Prices were pretty decent - £8. Golden Bee is available for exclusive hire Monday-Thursdays and Sundays. The Drink Perhaps indicative of the type of person the Golden Bee attracts, the Made in Old Street cocktail £8 seems to shift very well. It's literally just got a small sign outside and when you enter you need to go up some stairs. Golden Bee has the full package.

It would have been perfect had some foolish people, who'd clearly had far too much to drink already, not been complete toss pots and gave us some hassle for reasons beyond my understanding. What's the point of being a rooftop bar is there is no view? This acquired taste is made with Haribo infused vodka, mango juice, apple juice and blue curacao and is topped with Haribo sweets. Great venue and would recommend getting early as it gets very busy. I think getting there early helped with this.
Tucked away off the main road near Old St tube is a side door which leads you up some stairs in the Golden Bee. Lots of green lighting though, so you may look like the Hulk when you take pics. Don't get irritated by the location of this amazing two-story rooftop bar. Generally it pays to book for the sunny summer evenings but I have managed to swing it with out a booking with a small group. The Management were great and I must say I did not find the place overcrowded at all.
Staff and manager really friendly so make sure you book a table early to avoid disappointment. With an open air bar at the top of the venue with a grand view of East London, marvel at the delights of this fantastic experience. Delicious drinks, great music, plus an unrivalled atmosphere, Golden Bee has the full package. Highly recommend Golden Bee, great club. Rated I adore this place, especially if the weather is kind and the roof top is open. The Last Word Golden Bee could perhaps be a bit of a mainstream taste.
Golden Bee menu in image format shown on this website has been digitised by Zomato. The Atmosphere Golden Bee certainly places itself apart from the Shoreditch set of edgy bars teeming with hipsters. If there was a happy hour I'd have spent a lot longer there, but that's coming from a cheapskate. Wicked night I went to Golden Bee on Friday night for drinks with a party of 15. Granted I have never been late in the evening, it has never been unbearably busy so I have always had quite a relaxed time here. Accommodating staff, reasonably priced drinks and excellent view and ambience.
Their efforts have paid off. A more sophisticated choice may be the Apple Crumble £8 instead, a spiced rum cocktail mixed with apple, lime and cinnamon syrup. There's a solid selection of wines, too. Please check prices with the restaurant before visiting or ordering. The roof top bar goes up over 3 levels - 3rd level being the biggest - it also has an outside bar and bbq area. With excellent cocktails and an amazing rooftop view of the kebab shops of east London, this is an excellent after work spot.
We all went onto the roof terrace and it was buzzing. With covered and open-air spaces, this is a perfect rooftop bar for unpredictable London summers where you can toast alfresco drinks with a view over the heaving streets of Shoreditch. The roof terrace was amazing and it felt like a winter wonderland, kept warm with a fire pit and heaters and is the best hangout i have been to in london for a while. Great nite and you forget your in the centre of London on the roof terrace. The long bar and various seating areas make for a really communal feel, the trendy and current fashionistas really congregate here from the various other clientele in attendance.
